Week four results

So, 4 weeks have passed. I've lost 7.2 pounds. I could have been a lot more but I did not stick to it this last week. Luckily it was not negative stress but the fun of having a visitor for a few days and general work related busy-ness that kept from eating as well as I would have preferred.

I'm going to keep doing it though. I'm going to celebrate the progress I have made and focus on making next month even better.

A volatile week three

My weight has been all over the place this week. I'm not sure what that means exactly. I'll be more careful with what I eat this week and see if I can stabilize whats going on.

I adjusted my target weight (the blue diamond line) down at the beginning of the week since the first two weeks went so well. This week I more or less hit my target but instead of a steady decline it was a drastic drop for a few days and a drastic gain for a few days.

It could be influenced by some stress I've been under this week. I'll also work on making sure I let that all go. Staying healthy is way more important than work related stuff.

Week two results

After two weeks it looks like I'm down 5lbs which is pretty good. You can see in the chart that I was on track for 6lbs but I over did it last week and wore myself out. It was no fun being exhausted so last few days I've been resting and have relaxed my eating.

I feel pretty good today so I'll get back to working out regularly and eating carefully. I don't count calories and just try to stick to veggies, beans and low fat chicken, meat and fish.

Anyway, off to the gym.

Week one results

Its the end of week one and things seem to be going pretty well. The graph shows my measured weight in the reddish dots, the weighted average in yellow triangles line and my 'target' weight in the blue diamond line.

As you can see by the dots, weight measurements can fluctuate quite a bit so I'm smoothing them using a weighted average to get a more useful number for my current weight. Similarly its hard to tell what my real starting weight was so I used the average of the first three days (235.9).

I need to lose weight now

Okay maybe not right now. I mean, I know it is going to take some time, but I'm going to start right now. This may seem like an oddly personal and possibly embarrassing topic for a post but bear with me.

Over the last few years most parts of my life have been working out really really well. However, I've been unable to get to a healthy weight.
